Ladies my mother knew – Peter Aland – UK

This film combines images with the poetry of Michael O’Dell to explore the lost mood of a summer holiday at the beach.

Peter Aland studied photography and painting at the National Art School in Newcastle, then spent 30 years as an art teacher in rural NSW. His work ranges across photography, graphics and video, exploring the connection between physical reminders of the past and their interpretation in memory.
