An animated chronicle of Henry Doyle’s daily life in Downtown Eastside as he does his laundry with a favorite book of poetry in hand and meets a number of local residents. Henry Doyle has lived and worked in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver since moving west from Toronto in 2004. He is a long-time member of the Thursdays Writing Collective at the Carnegie Center in Vancouver. His work appears in various local magazines and anthologies. “Drunken Laundry Day with Charles Bukowski” is his first video poem. H. Kristen Campbell is an editor / filmmaker from Vancouver, BC. She received her BFA from Emily Carr University & Design in 2012 and received the President’s Media Award for her animated film “Swift”. Her films have been shown at several film festivals including TIFF, OIAF, Anima Mundi, ITFS and NYCIFF.
