Born and raised in Brazil, Fernanda Parrado is an experimental filmmaker and archivist with a BFA in Film & Video Production, and a double minor in Studio Art and Theater from The City College of New York. Making use of found footage, she focuses on social discussions and Latinx representation through analog media. Fernanda is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Gold Program, a fellow of the Herman Lew, FLI and S Jay Levy Fellowship and a mentee of a variety of NALIP’s mentorships.
